About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer with expertise in Water and Sanitation Infrastructure to join their dynamic team in Stellenbosch . This role is integral to designing, planning, and implementing essential water supply, distribution, and wastewater management systems for urban and rural communities. You will contribute to projects that enhance public health and environmental sustainability within the region. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop water supply networks, including pipelines, pumping stations, and reservoirs.
  • Plan and design wastewater collection systems, treatment plants, and effluent disposal systems.
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water distribution and sewer networks.
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs, calculations, and construction specifications.
  • Manage project activities, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Candidate Engineer ( a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and sanitation infrastructure design and project implementation.
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, SWMM) and CAD software.
  • Knowledge of relevant South African standards and regulations for water and sanitation systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective communication abilities.
