Process Optimization Engineer

Our client is looking for a results-oriented Process Optimization Engineer to join their team in Stellenbosch . This role is dedicated to identifying and implementing improvements in chemical processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality and sustainability. You will utilize advanced data analysis, modeling techniques, and a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles to drive measurable performance gains.

• Analyze existing chemical processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, including energy efficiency and waste reduction.
• Utilize statistical analysis and modeling tools to evaluate process performance and predict outcomes.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to implement process changes and modifications.
• Conduct pilot studies and trials to validate optimization initiatives before full-scale implementation.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings and recommendations to management.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience focused on process optimization, continuous improvement, or performance analysis.
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Experience with process simulation and modeling tools is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Excellent communication skills, adept at working with diverse teams in Stellenbosch .
