Civil Design Engineer - Urban Planning

Our client is seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer to contribute to urban planning and development projects in the vibrant Stellenbosch area. This role operates on a hybrid model, combining the benefits of in-office collaboration with remote flexibility. You will be involved in the design of site infrastructure, including roads, utilities, and public spaces, ensuring sustainable and functional urban environments.

• Design site development plans, including grading, drainage, road networks, and utility systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, reports, and permit applications.
• Coordinate design efforts with architects, landscape architects, and other consultants.
• Conduct site investigations and analyze survey data.
• Assist in the preparation of project cost estimates and construction schedules.
• Ensure compliance with local zoning ordinances, building codes, and environmental regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in site development and civil design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
• Understanding of urban planning principles and sustainable design practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork in a hybrid setting.
• Experience with municipal approval processes is an advantage.
