Civil Engineer - Transportation Design

Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with a focus on transportation design to join their team in Stellenbosch . You will be responsible for the design of road networks, intersections, and related transport infrastructure, ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable mobility solutions. This role involves close collaboration with urban planners and traffic engineers to deliver high-quality transportation projects that meet community needs, contributing to the region's connectivity and development.

• Design roads, highways, interchanges, and associated infrastructure using relevant software.
• Conduct traffic analysis and implement traffic calming and management solutions.
• Prepare geometric design plans, cross-sections, and drainage designs for transportation projects.
• Ensure designs comply with national road design standards and local authority requirements.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation engineering and road design.
• Proficiency in transportation design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MX Road, or similar.
• Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and intersection design.
• Experience with geometric design and drainage design for road projects in Stellenbosch .
