Structural Engineer - Commercial and Residential Developments

Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. This role focuses on the structural design of a diverse range of commercial and high-end residential buildings. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, stability, and integrity of structures from concept through to construction, collaborating closely with architects, developers, and construction professionals.

• Perform structural analysis and design for multi-story commercial buildings, residential complexes, and bespoke architectural projects.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using advanced engineering software.
• Ensure designs adhere to the National Building Regulations (N ) and relevant South African Standards (SANS).
• Collaborate effectively with architects and clients to achieve aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound designs.
• Provide construction support, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site inspections.
• Undertake feasibility studies and provide preliminary structural advice for new developments.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; professional registration (Pr Eng) is essential.
• A minimum of 6 years of post-graduate experience in structural engineering design.
• Proven experience in the design of concrete and steel structures for commercial and residential applications.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as Prokon, SAP
  2000, or ETABS, and CAD drafting.
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction materials, and building methodologies.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving capabilities.
