Our client seeks a competent Electrical Instrumentation Engineer to join their team in Stellenbosch . This role is vital for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of industrial instrumentation and control systems. You will be involved in the design, installation, calibration, and maintenance of a wide range of instruments and electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety within operational processes, contributing to a hybrid work model that balances site presence with flexibility.
Key Responsibilities- Design, specify, and select appropriate instrumentation and control systems for various industrial processes.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical instruments, sensors, transmitters, and control valves.
- Develop and implement strategies for preventive and predictive maintenance of instrumentation and electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to instrumentation, control systems, and electrical power distribution.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with process engineers and operations teams to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems engineering.
- Proficiency with various types of industrial instrumentation (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow, level sensors).
- Experience with PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems programming and configuration.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, HART).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
