Civil Engineer - Water & Wastewater Treatment

Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join their water and wastewater treatment team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and managing systems that ensure clean water access and effective wastewater management for communities. You will work on a variety of projects, from upgrading existing treatment plants to developing new facilities, requiring a strong understanding of fluid mechanics, environmental engineering principles, and relevant regulations.

• Design and oversee the construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Develop process designs, hydraulic models, and P&IDs for treatment plants.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new water infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and water quality standards.
• Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and project reports.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project outcomes.

• B.Eng Civil Engineering degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering .
• Proven experience in the design of water/wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in relevant design software and hydraulic modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations pertaining to water quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork in Stellenbosch .
