Electrical Infrastructure Engineer

• Design and develop electrical infrastructure, including medium and low voltage distribution networks.
• Plan and oversee the construction and commissioning of electrical substations and related facilities.
• Conduct feasibility studies, load forecasting, and system planning analyses.
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with national electrical standards and safety regulations (e.g., SANS).
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for electrical infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with internal departments, external contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Perform technical reviews of designs, specifications, and construction plans.
• Identify opportunities for system upgrades and modernization to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in electrical power systems engineering and infrastructure development.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution principles, substation design, and protection schemes.
• Proficiency in electrical design and analysis software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD).
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration is highly advantageous.
