Production Assistant - Events

About the Role

Our client, a vibrant organization within the Arts & Entertainment sector, is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Production Assistant to support their live event operations in Stellenbosch . This is an ideal role for an individual looking to gain hands-on experience in event production and management. You will assist the production team with a variety of tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of events from planning through to breakdown.

The role demands a proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn across different facets of event production.

• Provide logistical support to the production manager and technical teams during event setup, execution, and strike.
• Assist with coordinating schedules, managing equipment, and ensuring venue readiness.
• Help with managing artist and crew needs, including hospitality and technical rider fulfillment.
• Conduct research for event planning, sourcing vendors, and managing inventory.
• Assist in the preparation of production documentation, run sheets, and communication logs.
• Respond to on-site needs and problem-solve effectively under the guidance of senior staff.

• Enthusiasm for live events and the Arts & Entertainment industry.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Event Management, Production, Theatre, or a related field.
