About the Role

Waters Edge Solutions is partnering with a tech-forward financial services provider to hire a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper. In this role, you'll handle daily financial processing, maintain accurate ledgers, and support payroll and VAT submissions. Key Responsibilities
  • Process daily financial transactions and bring books to trial balance
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations with zero unexplained items
  • Manage supplier invoices, payments, and customer billing
  • Ensure accurate VAT treatment and assist with SARS submissions
  • Maintain payroll records and inputs via Simple Pay
  • Liaise with teams, clients, and suppliers for documentation and queries
  • Keep structured digital records and support audit readiness
  • Assist with month-end reconciliations, accruals, and reporting
  • Prepare schedules for deductions, reimbursements, and staff-related tracking
  • Identify and recommend improvements to streamline processes
What You’ll Bring
  • 2–3 years of bookkeeping or transaction processing experience
  • Strong proficiency in Xero (certification preferred)
  • Experience in Simple Pay payroll administration
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Good understanding of VAT treatment and bookkeeping fundamentals
  • Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines independently
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Clear communication when working with suppliers and internal teams
  • Ability to manage sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of intercompany transactions
  • Experience in tech-enabled work environments
  • Familiarity with audit processes and compliance
