Actuarial Analyst - Life Insurance

• Assist in the development and pricing of new life insurance products, ensuring competitive and profitable designs.
• Perform regular valuations of policy liabilities and reserves, adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct experience investigations (e.g., mortality, lapse, expenses) to inform assumptions and models.
• Develop and maintain actuarial models for forecasting, scenario testing, and capital management.
• Support the risk management function by quantifying and analyzing financial risks.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

• Progress towards actuarial qualifications (e.g., via Actuarial Society of South Africa) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, Risk Agility) and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
• Excellent understanding of life insurance principles, products, and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
