This role is essential for pricing new products, valuing existing liabilities, and managing the financial risks associated with life insurance policies. You will work closely with actuaries and other finance professionals to provide robust analytical support, contributing to strategic decision-making and the long-term profitability of the company.

- Assist in the development and pricing of new life insurance products, ensuring competitive and profitable designs.
- Perform regular valuations of policy liabilities and reserves, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Conduct experience investigations (e.g., mortality, lapse, expenses) to inform assumptions and models.
- Develop and maintain actuarial models for forecasting, scenario testing, and capital management.
- Support the risk management function by quantifying and analyzing financial risks.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Progress towards actuarial qualifications (e.g., via Actuarial Society of South Africa) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, Risk Agility) and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Excellent understanding of life insurance principles, products, and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
