FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT | INVESTMENTS
A leading investment group is looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join its Finance Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of the full accounting function across the Investment Group’s portfolio of companies, including South African and international entities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Manager, CFO and broader Finance Team, gaining strong exposure to multi-entity accounting, tax, audits and financial reporting.

- Take responsibility for the full accounting function across the Investment Group.
- Review monthly Livewire reports and ensure accurate and timely client invoicing.
- Manage debtors, including monitoring outstanding balances and following up on overdue accounts.
- Calculate and submit VAT returns for South African and international entities.
- Prepare and post month-end journals.
- Maintain accurate loan schedules and ensure alignment with Net Suite and loan agreements.
- Review and approve weekly payments.
- Prepare audit files and assist with annual audits across multiple entities.
- Assist with the review of annual Financial Statements received from auditors.
- Assist with tax calculations and tax return submissions.
- Maintain and review monthly rooftop schedules.
- Provide support to the Investments Finance Team, Financial Manager and CFO on ad hoc finance-related requirements.
- BCom, BAcc or equivalent completed financial degree.
- Completed postgraduate diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Completed SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA articles.
- Registered with SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA.
- Minimum 2 years’ post-articles experience.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Intermediate MS Excel proficiency and experience working with financial systems;
Net Suite experience would be advantageous. - Experience working across multiple entities will be highly advantageous.
