• Manage local and international direct and indirect tax compliance.
• Oversee corporate income tax, VAT, payroll taxes and foreign tax obligations.
• Coordinate annual Research and Development tax incentive claims.
• Provide guidance on tax legislation, treaties, transfer pricing and cross-border transactions.
• Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors on queries, audits and technical matters.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements, deferred tax calculations and IFRS accounting treatments.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and foreign exchange matters.
• Support external audits, month-end and year-end reporting and financial controls.
• Provide financial and tax input into budgeting, forecasting and strategic decisions.
• Identify improvements to financial systems, processes, controls and reporting.

• CA(SA) or Financial Graduate with a postgraduate tax qualification.
• 5+ years' relevant post-articles experience in accounting, taxation and financial management.
• Strong South African and international tax experience.
• Knowledge of corporate income tax, VAT and cross-border tax matters.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS, foreign exchange and deferred tax.
• Experience preparing and reviewing annual financial statements.
• Experience working with external auditors.
• Ability to research complex tax and accounting matters and provide practical recommendations.
• Proficient in Sage or similar ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and commercially minded with strong professional judgement.
