Paraplanner

Paraplanner position available in Stellenbosch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and analytical support to financial advisers throughout the financial planning process.
• Research and compare financial products, including investments, pensions, insurance, and mortgages.
• Prepare comprehensive financial plans based on clients’ goals, financial circumstances, and risk profiles.
• Draft suitability reports explaining and supporting financial recommendations.
• Conduct cash flow and retirement planning using financial planning software.
• Review existing client portfolios and identify potential adjustments where appropriate.
• Ensure financial advice and documentation comply with relevant regulatory and industry requirements.
• Assist financial advisers with the administrative and technical aspects of client financial planning.
• Maintain accurate client information and assist with ongoing client reviews.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Financial Planning, Finance, Investments, or a related field advantageous.
• Previous experience in paraplanning, financial planning, or financial services advantageous.
• Strong understanding of investments, pensions, insurance, taxation, and financial planning principles.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong report-writing and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with financial planning software, such as Voyant, Cash Calc, or similar, advantageous.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work closely with financial advisers and manage multiple client cases.
