Chief Financial Officer; CFO

Steer the financial course of a dynamic property development enterprise and make a tangible impact on the company’s strategic growth. Our client, a well‑established organization within the property sector, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead financial planning, reporting, and compliance, ensuring the long‑term health and success of their projects.

• Prepare accurate, timely financial reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decisions related to property investments and development projects.
• Monitor key financial metrics to ensure ongoing fiscal health.
• Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with department heads.
• Oversee cash flow, receivables, payables, and banking relationships, including negotiations for funding and credit facilities.
• Ensure adherence to South African financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage compliance documentation.
• Support business growth through financial modelling and capital allocation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise inter‑company transactions and loan structures.

• Lead the preparation of comprehensive financial reports and forecasts.
• Analyze financial data to guide strategic investments and operational improvements.
• Manage liquidity, funding, and banking relationships.
• Maintain compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Support the management team in long‑term financial planning.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• CA(SA) or similar professional qualification.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a senior financial management role.
• Strong understanding of South African financial regulations and tax laws.
• Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, and cash flow management.
• Leadership capabilities and strategic mindset.

• Experience in property development or investments.
