About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Management Accountant for their office in Paarl, offering a hybrid work model. This crucial role involves driving financial performance through insightful analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will work closely with operational teams to provide financial guidance, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and support strategic decision‑making. - Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights on financial trends.
- Conduct profitability analysis and cost‑benefit assessments for various business activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures.
- Support strategic planning and provide financial modeling for new initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CIMA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling, and experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent understanding of cost accounting principles and management reporting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
