About the Role

Our client is looking for a driven and personable Mortgage Originator to join their expanding team in Paarl . This role is focused on generating new mortgage loan business by developing relationships with real estate agents, builders, and potential borrowers. You will guide clients through the mortgage application process, assess their financial needs, and recommend appropriate loan products. Success in this position requires strong sales acumen, excellent customer service skills, and a thorough understanding of mortgage lending within the Banking & Finance sector.

This is an on-site role requiring regular client interaction.

• Proactively source new mortgage loan applications through networking and business development activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners, including real estate agents and brokers.
• Counsel borrowers on mortgage loan products, terms, and interest rates.
• Take complete mortgage applications and ensure all necessary documentation is collected.
• Analyze borrower financial information to determine creditworthiness and loan eligibility.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant lending regulations and company policies.

• Proven experience as a Mortgage Originator or in a sales role within the financial services industry.
• Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and generating new business.
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and relevant regulations.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with clients and referral partners in Paarl .
