Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Economist to contribute to their strategic initiatives within their Stellenbosch office. You will be responsible for forecasting economic conditions, assessing policy impacts, and advising senior management on economic strategy. Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth research on economic issues, policies, and market developments.
- Develop and maintain macroeconomic and microeconomic models for forecasting.
- Analyze the impact of government policies, global events, and market fluctuations on the business.
- Prepare comprehensive economic reports, briefings, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Advise senior management on economic outlooks and strategic financial planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate economic analysis into business strategy and decision-making.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in economic research, forecasting, or analysis, preferably in financial services.
- Strong command of econometric techniques and statistical software (e.g., Stata, EViews, R).
- Proven ability to develop complex economic models and interpret quantitative data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex economic concepts clearly.
- Experience in presenting economic analysis to diverse audiences.
