Financial Specialist; Tax

Ready to own tax and technical accounting across borders? My client in the technology space is looking for a CA(SA) or tax-qualified finance professional to help their growing international business operate with confidence in every market it enters.

This is a true specialist role. You'll be the go-to expert on local and international tax and complex accounting matters, working closely with the Finance Manager and senior leadership. Your advice will shape how the business enters new markets, structures transactions and makes key decisions.

• Manage South African and international tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT, payroll taxes and foreign tax obligations
• Coordinate annual Research and Development tax incentive claims with external consultants
• Advise on tax treaties, cross-border transactions, permanent establishment, transfer pricing and market entry
• Engage with SARS and support engagement with foreign tax authorities and external advisors
• Review tax opinions, track legislative changes and identify tax risks and opportunities
• Prepare and review annual financial statements and deferred tax calculations under IFRS
• Provide technical guidance on foreign exchange, revenue recognition, project accounting and cross-border arrangements
• Support the planning and management of external statutory audits, including audit packs and schedules
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting, intercompany accounting, reconciliations and financial controls
• Contribute tax and financial insight to budgeting, forecasting and strategic decisions
