Power BI Developer

We are looking for two Intermediate Power BI Developers to do dashboard/report development, performance optimisation, Power BI administration, and automated CI/CD deployments. You’ll work closely with data engineering and business teams to deliver reliable, scalable analytics solutions across the organisation.

• Develop high‑quality Power BI reports and dashboards aligned to business requirements.
• Optimise Power BI datasets, queries, models, and visuals for improved performance.
• Perform Power BI administration, including workspace management, user permissions, governance and monitoring.
• Manage and enhance CI/CD deployment pipelines for Power BI content.
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure best‑practice data modelling.
• Assist with resolving Power BI support queries and analytics-related issues.
• Participate in standby/on‑call duties as part of the support rotation.

• Strong experience with Power BI development (Power Query, DAX, data modelling).
• Solid understanding of Power BI administration in enterprise environments.
• Experience optimising Power BI models, query performance, and refresh cycles.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, modelling, and performance tuning.
• Experience managing Power BI workspace governance, security roles, and capacity usage.
• Hands‑on experience with Power BI CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid practical experience working with Microsoft Fabric.
• Good understanding of data modelling principles (Star/Snowflake schemas).

• This role is designated for Employment Equity candidates as per the client’s EE plan.
• This is a six-month contract opportunity with our client with the option of converting to a permanent employee.
