Are you ready for a leadership role in an international audit practice – and do you get energy from building, connecting and safeguarding audit quality? From our beautiful office in Stellenbosch (South Africa), you will help shape our audit practice for (primarily) Dutch clients. You may already have experience with Dutch auditing standards and Dutch GAAP — and if not, you are eager and able to learn them quickly.

With full support from our Dutch audit practice, you will further develop this expertise and guide a strong local team. Equally important: you are a connector. You build bridges between the Netherlands and South Africa, but also within the Stellenbosch team. You create cohesion, foster trust and ensure people feel part of one practice — regardless of location. Additionally, you actively contribute to the further development of our entity’s own activities in Stellenbosch and play a key role in the growth and positioning of the office in South Africa and beyond.

What

will you do?

In this role, you oversee daily audit operations in Stellenbosch:

  • Assign and schedule audit tasks for the team.
  • Track budgets, deadlines, and milestones across projects.
  • Ensure audit files meet quality standards and firm methodology.
  • Review files according to Dutch practice for accuracy and clarity.
  • Provide guidance to the South African team based on client needs and Dutch audit requirements.
  • Initiate new opportunities within our service offering (in South Africa and beyond).
  • Prepare the groundwork to obtain a SAICA training licence for the entity.
A Major Focus Is Building People And Team Culture
  • Train colleagues in Dutch methods and best practices.
  • Organize technical sessions for ongoing development.
  • Foster team cohesion through communication and shared values.
  • Integrate new members and help everyone connect—to each other, to the Netherlands, and our practice’s purpose.
