To plan, govern, implement, and assure resilient, secure and scalable ICT Network Infrastructure (WAN, LAN, SD‑WAN, Voice, Network Security, Internet Connectivity and Wireless) across Mediclinic and its subsidiaries. The role is accountable for enterprise network architecture, standards and roadmap, ensuring high availability of clinical and business‑critical services through robust design, operational excellence, and effective risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Define and manage the enterprise ICT Network strategy, architecture and standards aligned to Zero Trust and hybrid cloud principles.
- Oversee day‑to‑day network operations, ensuring high availability of critical clinical and business services.
- Own network security and risk controls, including segmentation, firewall and access governance.
- Lead network design and delivery for strategic projects, ensuring alignment to architecture and clinical risk requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardisation and technical debt reduction.
- Manage vendor performance, contracts and service levels to ensure value, quality and resilience.
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement and provide clear service reporting.
- Manage budgets, business cases and lifecycle planning across the network portfolio.
- Lead and develop the network team, including capability building and succession planning.
- Relevant networking certifications (e.g. CCNA / CCNP or equivalent).
- ITIL Foundation (or equivalent).
- Ongoing development in network security and cloud networking.
- Advanced networking certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCIE or equivalent) and/or SD‑WAN certification.
- Security certification beneficial (e.g., vendor security certifications; CISSP/CCSP‑level knowledge).
- COBIT or governance/risk training advantageous.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in enterprise ICT networking in a large, distributed environment.
- Experience in operational governance, service availability and incident/problem management.
- Strong understanding of network security controls (segmentation, firewall/NAC, secure access).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership or management role.
- 12+ years’ experience in enterprise networking and large‑scale environments.
- Proven experience in network architecture and design across multiple technologies.
- Exposure to cloud and hybrid networking environments.
- Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries.

- ITIL Delivery & Standards.
- Hosting on‑premises and Cloud network services.
- Third‑level support of Network Infrastructure (WAN, LAN, Voice, Network Security, Internet Connectivity and Wireless Systems).
- Good understanding of IT security concepts and best practices.
- Spec and design networks.
- Contract Management.
- People Management.
- Communication and presentation skills.
- ICT Assets Life Cycle Management/Methodology.
- Stakeholder Management.
- Zero Trust networking principles (identity‑aware access) and micro/zone segmentation for clinical, OT/medical devices and corporate environments.
- Cloud & hybrid networking (e.g., Azure/AWS connectivity patterns, private connectivity, DNS, routing).
- Cyber incident response support from a network perspective (containment playbooks, evidence capture).
