Are you a detail-oriented Data Analyst with a passion for transforming complex financial data into meaningful business insights? We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join a leading financial analytics organisation and play a key role in driving data-informed decision-making across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for a data professional with a strong finance background who enjoys working with large datasets, identifying trends and anomalies, and delivering impactful reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities Data Collection & Management- Collect, cleanse, validate, and organise data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity
- Maintain and enhance databases, data warehouses, and data systems
- Ensure data governance and quality standards are consistently met
- Analyse large and complex financial datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities
- Perform detailed financial and operational data analysis to support strategic business decisions
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on data findings
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations for business stakeholders
- Present findings in a clear and meaningful manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Support ongoing reporting requirements and business performance monitoring
- Partner closely with finance and business teams to understand reporting and analytical requirements
- Work alongside technology teams to implement data-driven solutions and improvements
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality, and operational efficiency
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in analytics and business intelligence
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Relevant certifications in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Finance will be advantageous
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Data Analyst role within the financial services, banking, investment, insurance, or related finance sector
- Proven experience working with large datasets and financial reporting environment
- Strong SQL skills for querying, analysing, and managing data
- Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and automation
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skill
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualisation platform
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric including data engineering, data integration, reporting, and analytics capabilities
- Familiarity with financial databases, data warehouses, and cloud-based data platform
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into business insight
- Strong verbal and written communication skill
- Effective stakeholder engagement and presentation skill
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- High levels of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
