Software Development Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Software Development Project Manager to lead exciting new product development initiatives from their Paarl, Western Cape office. This role is central to guiding agile software development teams through the entire project lifecycle, from concept to launch. You will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software, managing resources, facilitating communication between development teams and stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in our development processes.

• Manage end-to-end software development projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, development teams, QA, and designers to define project scope and requirements.
• Track project progress, identify and resolve impediments, and manage project risks and dependencies.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, well-tested software releases on schedule.
• Communicate project status, key metrics, and potential issues to stakeholders effectively.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years specifically in software development projects.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development principles and practices.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
