Our client, a leading international agricultural commodities and logistics group
, is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to strengthen the technology platform supporting its global operations.

Reporting to a Senior Manager within Technology Services
, you will deploy, operate and optimise infrastructure across AWS, Azure and on-premises environments
, with additional exposure to GCP
.

This is a hands-on engineering role covering cloud networking,
Infrastructure as Code
, cross-cloud connectivity, virtualisation, security and infrastructure modernisation within a complex international environment.

• Deploy, operate and optimise Azure and AWS infrastructure
  , including networking, identity, firewalls, compute and storage services.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform across Azure and AWS for repeatable and governed deployments.
• Deploy and support Azure Landing Zone resources, including Virtual WAN, networking, identity and security baselines.
• Manage AWS workloads including VPCs, Transit Gateway, IAM and security groups

• Operate cross-cloud connectivity and integration patterns, including VPNs, federated identity, certificate-based authentication and secure cloud egress.
• Support the migration of virtualised workloads from VMware vSphere to Microsoft Hyper-V across primary and disaster recovery environments.
• Implement and maintain cloud security baselines and collaborate with cybersecurity teams to support compliance requirements.
• Support disaster recovery, backup, IP address management and regional infrastructure rollouts across international operations.
• Investigate Tier 3 infrastructure incidents and maintain clear runbooks, technical documentation and architecture diagrams.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive cloud infrastructure engineering and operations experience

• Strong hands-on production experience across both AWS and Azure
  , including networking, identity, security and core compute and storage services.
• Production experience with Azure Virtual WAN, AWS Transit Gateway and cross-cloud connectivity such as site-to-site VPN, Express Route or Direct Connect.
• Strong Terraform experience across Azure and AWS; exposure to Cloud Formation or Bicep would be advantageous.
• Experience with VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, ideally including migration between hypervisors.
• Working knowledge of CIS benchmarks, SOX or ISO 27001

• Strong scripting capability using Power Shell, Python or Bash
  .
• Exposure to HPE Simpli Vity or similar hyperconverged infrastructure would be advantageous.
• Flexibility for international travel as required.
