Our client is seeking a proficient VoIP Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their voice over IP infrastructure in Stellenbosch . This hybrid role involves ensuring the smooth operation, security, and performance of their VoIP systems, while also handling user support and system upgrades. - Administer, configure, and maintain VoIP platforms (e.g., Asterisk, Cisco Call Manager, Free SWITCH).
- Monitor VoIP system performance, troubleshoot call quality issues, and resolve network connectivity problems.
- Manage user accounts, extensions, voicemail, and call routing configurations.
- Implement security measures to protect the VoIP infrastructure from unauthorized access and threats.
- Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience managing and supporting VoIP systems .
- Strong knowledge fo SIP, RTP, TCP/IP, and related voice protocols.
- Experience with PBX administration and telephony hardware.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting and diagnostic tools.
