Data Scientist - AI​/ML Focus

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Data Scientist with a strong focus on AI/ML to join their innovative team in Stellenbosch . You will leverage vast datasets to uncover insights, build predictive models, and develop AI-driven solutions that enhance business operations and product offerings. Working in the beautiful Western Cape , you'll collaborate with a diverse group of professionals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of data science and artificial intelligence.

• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models for various applications (e.g., prediction, classification, clustering).
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate ML models into production systems.
• Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and measure the impact of models.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in data science, with a strong emphasis on machine learning techniques.
• Proficiency in Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, Tensor Flow, PyTorch).
• Experience with SQL and database querying for data extraction and manipulation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
