Network Infrastructure Technician

Our client is seeking a proactive Network Infrastructure Technician to support their operations in Stellenbosch . This role is crucial for maintaining and upgrading the company's network systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and data integrity for all users. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network hardware and software. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical foundation in networking technologies, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ensuring robust and secure network performance for our client across the Western Cape .

• Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
• Perform regular network maintenance and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software problems for end-users and systems.
• Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

• Proven experience as a Network Technician or Network Administrator.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
• Experience with network hardware from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, HP).
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and security best practices.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+) are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
