About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced AI Operations (AIOps) Engineer to enhance the monitoring, automation, and performance management of their IT infrastructure and applications. This hybrid role involves working from both home and our Paarl office. You will leverage AI and machine learning techniques to proactively identify, predict, and resolve operational issues, thereby improving system reliability and efficiency. This position is key to ensuring the smooth operation of our client's digital services through intelligent automation and proactive problem-solving, working within a team dedicated to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and manage AIOps platforms and tools for IT infrastructure monitoring and analytics.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models for anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and root cause analysis.
- Automate IT operational tasks and workflows using scripting and orchestration tools.
- Analyze system performance data to identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and security teams to resolve operational incidents.
- Create dashboards and reports to provide visibility into system health and performance metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT operations, Dev Ops, or SRE roles.
- Proven experience with AIOps tools and platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk ITSI).
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in IT operations.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies.
