Junior Project Manager - Software Development

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Project Manager to join their growing software development team in Stellenbosch . You will support senior project managers in planning, executing, and delivering software projects, gaining valuable experience in all facets of project management. You will contribute to maintaining project timelines, managing communication, and ensuring the smooth progression of development cycles, playing a key role in team success.

• Assist senior project managers in developing project plans, timelines, and resource estimates.
• Coordinate project activities, including scheduling meetings, tracking progress, and managing documentation.
• Facilitate communication between development teams, designers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Help identify and track project risks and issues, escalating them as needed.
• Support the team in adhering to Agile development methodologies and best practices.
• Contribute to the creation of project status reports and presentations for stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a project coordination or junior project management role, preferably within software development.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Basic understanding of project management principles and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable in a hybrid work setting.
