About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Planner to contribute to their supply chain operations based in Stellenbosch. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and optimizing the movement of goods, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability throughout the transportation network. You will analyze data, develop transportation strategies, and collaborate with various internal departments and external partners to achieve logistical goals.
This position is crucial for maintaining the flow of products and materials, supporting business growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction through superior logistical execution in the Western Cape region.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the transportation of goods, optimizing routes and schedules.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of products.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and transportation costs.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to recommend improvements to logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics planning or supply chain coordination.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with logistics planning software and tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with carriers and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
