Producer & Supply Manager; Table Grapes

Producer & Supply Manager (Table Grapes) – Stellenbosch.

We are currently looking for a Producer & Supply Manager (Table Grapes) for a full time position based in Stellenbosch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new table-grape producers and secure additional export volumes.
• Build and maintain relationships with producers, farm managers and packhouses.
• Conduct farm, vineyard and packhouse visits and quality inspections.
• Monitor fruit quality and identify potential quality risks.
• Maintain crop estimates and weekly supply forecasts.
• Coordinate packing programmes according to orders and requirements.
• Identify and communicate supply shortages, surpluses and programme risks.
• Assist with packing materials, transport, cooling, cold storage and container loading.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the table-grape export industry.
• Strong knowledge of table-grape production, quality, packing and export requirements.
• Experience working directly with producers and packhouses.
• Experience with crop forecasting, supply planning and packing programmes.
• Good understanding of fresh produce logistics and cold-chain requirements.
• Strong commercial, communication and relationship-management skills.
• Established producer network and sourcing experience highly advantageous.
• Agricultural or commercial qualification advantageous.
• Afrikaans and English proficiency advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
