Cleaning Operative, Cleaning Services

Our client is seeking a dependable Cleaning Operative to join their facility management team in Stellenbosch. This role is essential for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of commercial and public spaces, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for visitors and staff. The operative will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, handle cleaning supplies and equipment responsibly, and adhere to stringent health and safety protocols.

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of designated areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and kitchens.
• Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, polishers, and floor scrubbers.
• Replenish cleaning and restroom supplies as needed.
• Dispose of trash and recycling in designated receptacles according to company policy.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines, including the correct use of cleaning chemicals and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Report any maintenance or repair needs observed during cleaning duties to the supervisor.

• Previous experience in a commercial cleaning role is preferred but not essential.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe use.
