About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Stellenbosch . This role is crucial for optimizing production lines, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards. You will work hands-on within the facility, analyzing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that directly impact productivity and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the operational team, driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of efficiency and excellence on the factory floor.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
- Design and optimize production layouts and workflows to maximize throughput and minimize waste.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production activities.
- Collaborate with production staff and management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct time studies and ergonomic assessments to improve workforce productivity and safety.
- Monitor production metrics and report on key performance indicators to management.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
- Proficiency in CAD software for layout design and process flow visualization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively on the factory floor and collaborate with diverse teams.
