Materials Handler

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and physically fit Materials Handler to join their manufacturing team in Paarl . This role is essential for the smooth flow of materials throughout the production process, from receiving raw materials to dispatching finished goods. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and has a strong work ethic, contributing to the efficiency of operations in this key Western Cape location.

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality against orders.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods to designated areas within the facility.
• Store materials accurately and maintain an organized warehouse environment.
• Assist with inventory counts and record keeping as required.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies regarding material handling and equipment operation.

• Proven experience as a Materials Handler or Forklift Operator in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Valid forklift operator certification and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly.
• Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
