Role Description The Digital Print Finisher is a full-time, on-site role based in Stellenbosch. This role is responsible for finishing and handling printed materials, including trimming, binding, laminating, folding, and packaging digital print jobs according to specifications. The Digital Print Finisher will operate and maintain finishing equipment, monitor quality standards, and ensure that all jobs are completed accurately and on schedule.

Day-to-day tasks include interpreting job tickets, coordinating with print and design teams, minimising material waste, performing quality checks, and preparing completed work for delivery or distribution. Preparing and applying printed materials and graphics will also be included on various print applications, signage, displays and banners. The role also involves following safety and maintenance procedures, managing materials and supplies, and contributing to continuous improvement of finishing workflows.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or higher.
• Previous experience in print production (3 years).
• Strong technical skills in operating and maintaining print finishing equipment (e.g., guillotines, binders, laminators, folders, and cutters).
• Demonstrated ability to perform accurate measurement, trimming, binding, and other finishing processes with attention to detail and quality.
• Good understanding of digital printing workflows, paper types, substrates, and finishing techniques used in commercial print environments.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple jobs under deadline pressure.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and technical instructions, and to communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
• Commitment to workplace safety, equipment care, and maintaining a clean, orderly production environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift, move, and handle print materials and equipment as required.
• Previous experience in digital print finishing or a related print production role is preferred; relevant vocational training or certification in printing or graphic communications is an advantage.
