About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive Industrial Efficiency Engineer to join their established team in Stellenbosch . This role is dedicated to enhancing the overall efficiency and productivity of our manufacturing and operational processes. You will be responsible for analyzing workflows, identifying areas of waste, and implementing strategic improvements to optimize resource utilization and reduce operational costs. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of process improvement methodologies, and the ability to drive change within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of existing industrial processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Design and implement strategies for waste reduction, cost control, and productivity enhancement.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics to track the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality control teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for management on process improvements and operational strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on efficiency improvements.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, Kaizen events, and 5S methodologies.
- Familiarity with process mapping and simulation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams.
