About the Role
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the FMCG sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee operations at their facility in Paarl. This role is critical for ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production output in line with company standards and targets. You will lead a team of production staff, manage daily operations, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a leadership role within a respected Fast-Moving Consumer Goods company.
- Supervise daily production activities, ensuring targets for output, quality, and safety are met.
- Manage, train, and motivate a team of production operators, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Implement and enforce adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Monitor production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of production machinery and equipment.
- Maintain accurate production records, including output, waste, and quality control data.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further technical or supervisory training is an advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Proven ability to manage a team effectively and drive performance.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and health & safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, as required by production demands.
