Industrial Engineer - Production Systems Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Industrial Engineer to join their manufacturing team in Paarl . This role is centered on the optimization of production systems to enhance efficiency, throughput, and product quality. You will be deeply involved in analyzing current production lines, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing data-driven solutions that leverage Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. The role requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement within a dedicated team environment.

• Analyze existing production processes to identify areas for improvement in cycle time, cost, and quality.
• Design and implement optimized workflows, including line balancing and workstation improvements.
• Utilize simulation tools and data analysis to model and test process changes.
• Develop and maintain production performance metrics and dashboards.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to implement changes and provide training.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement root cause analysis for long-term solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on production systems .
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in process mapping, simulation software, and data analysis techniques.
