Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Aircraft Production Planner to manage and coordinate manufacturing and maintenance schedules for aircraft components and assemblies in Stellenbosch . This role is central to ensuring efficient production flow, timely delivery, and optimal resource allocation within the aerospace manufacturing environment. You will liaise closely with engineering, procurement, and production teams to translate project requirements into actionable production plans, driving the successful completion of aviation manufacturing tasks and upholding the company's commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for aircraft manufacturing and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with various departments, including engineering, procurement, and quality control, to ensure timely material and resource availability.
- Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement solutions to keep schedules on track.
- Manage inventory levels for raw materials and components, ensuring supply chain efficiency.
- Prepare reports on production status, resource utilization, and performance metrics.
- Continuously analyze and improve production planning processes for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Proven experience in production planning or scheduling, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management principles.
- Proficiency in using planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and production documentation.
