Senior Process Engineer - Chemical Manufacturing

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in Paarl , focusing on advanced Chemical Manufacturing operations. This role is critical for optimizing existing production processes, developing new manufacturing strategies, and ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality output. You will lead process improvement initiatives, troubleshoot operational challenges, and contribute to the design and implementation of new manufacturing technologies.

• Analyze existing chemical manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement process modifications and new technologies to enhance production capabilities.
• Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement safety measures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Design, oversee, and validate pilot plant and full-scale production runs.
• Collaborate with operations, R&D, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in process engineering within the chemical manufacturing industry.
• Proven expertise in process simulation, scale-up, optimization, and troubleshooting of chemical processes.
• Strong understanding of unit operations, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mass transfer.
• Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
