Production Supervisor - FMCG

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee operations at their facility in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This hands‑on role is critical for ensuring efficient, safe, and high‑quality production of consumer goods. You will lead a team of production line workers, manage daily operations, enforce safety protocols, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets and maintain operational excellence within the demanding South African manufacturing environment.

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team to meet output and quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures on the production floor.
• Monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.
• Train and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Manage shift schedules, resource allocation, and material flow to optimize production efficiency.
• Conduct regular quality checks and work with the quality assurance team to maintain product integrity.

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role, preferably in FMCG manufacturing .
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and health and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
