About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Hygiene Officer to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation across their operations in Stellenbosch . This role is pivotal in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for employees, customers, and stakeholders by developing, implementing, and monitoring hygiene protocols. You will conduct regular audits, train staff on best practices, and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures.

- Train staff on proper hygiene practices, including handwashing, food safety, and waste management.
- Monitor and manage cleaning schedules and the effectiveness of cleaning products and equipment.
- Investigate and resolve any hygiene-related issues or complaints promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of audits, training, and corrective actions taken.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Proven experience in a Hygiene Officer or similar role, preferably in a food service, healthcare, or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and general sanitation principles.
- Excellent auditing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and training abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
