Analytical Chemist - Pharmaceutical Analysis

Our client is seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to join their pharmaceutical research division in Stellenbosch . This hybrid role offers the chance to work on critical analytical challenges within drug development and quality control. You will utilize advanced analytical instrumentation and methodologies to ensure the purity, potency, and stability of pharmaceutical compounds. • Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods for the characterization of pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Perform routine and non-routine analyses using techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, UV-Vis, and FTIR spectroscopy.
• Analyze and interpret analytical data, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines (e.g., GMP).
• Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and resolve method-related issues.
• Prepare accurate and concise analytical reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with formulation scientists and other R&D personnel to support project goals.

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical analysis or a related industry.
• Hands-on experience with a wide range of analytical techniques, particularly HPLC and GC-MS .
• Strong understanding of method development, validation, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ICH guidelines).
• Excellent data interpretation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in both independent and team-based environments.
