Role Overview
Cube Space is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to join our Quality team. In this role, you will perform mechanical and visual inspections on incoming, in-process, and final assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components to ensure full compliance with specifications, and quality standards.
You will be responsible for accurately documenting inspection results, identifying and managing nonconformances, and supporting corrective actions to maintain product integrity and reliability. Working closely with Production and Engineering, you will play a key role in ensuring only compliant, high-quality components progress through our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities Mechanical Inspection- Perform inspection of received mechanical components and third-party products
- Conduct in-process and final inspections according to quality requirements
- Evaluate incoming materials against Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and Cube Space specifications
- Maintain inspection quality gates at defined production stages
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using appropriate measurement tools
Execute non-conformance procedures for defective components or products - Perform engraving procedures where require
- Accurately record inspection results in the ERP system
- Ensure measurement equipment is within calibration requirements
- Communicate inspection results, trends, and nonconformances to the Mechanical Inspector Lead, and Quality Control Lead
- Support investigations into nonconformances and corrective actions
- Provide feedback on supplier quality performance
- Suggest improvements to inspection processes
- Support design-for-manufacturing initiatives by providing inspection-related input when required
- Mechanical Engineering Technology or Manufacturing Diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience performing mechanical inspections in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
- Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments
- Good computer literacy (Excel, Word, ERP systems)
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Experience with CMM inspection is advantageous
