Our client in the Stellenbosch / Joostenbergvlakte area is seeking a highly motivated Quality and Compliance Officer/Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role is essential to maintaining quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, implementing best practices in food safety and a passion for quality in the food production sector.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Tertiary qualification
  • Very strong administration skills
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience in conducting training sessions and supporting team development
  • Capability to perform basic quality testing and assessments
  • Proactive approach in identifying and solving quality issues
  • Own transport and license
  • Willing to work overtime and night shifts during peak season
  • Duties and Responsibilities:

    Quality Control:
    • Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures throughout the packing process from receiving raw materials to dispatching finished products
    Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and collaborate with the team to implement solutions that enhance product quality and safety
    Compliance Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices, including HACCP and GlobalGAP requirements
    Audits and Inspections:
    • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards; address any non-compliance issues effectively
    Training and Development:
    • Provide ongoing training to staff on quality standards, compliance requirements, and food handling practices
    Reporting:
    • Prepare regular quality performance reports, documenting inspection results, quality issues, and corrective actions taken
