About the Role
Our client, a respected leader in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to ensure product excellence in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This role is vital for maintaining the high standards of quality and safety across all product lines, involving rigorous testing, adherence to protocols, and meticulous record-keeping. You will be part of a team dedicated to upholding product integrity from raw materials to finished goods.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of quality control principles, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring that all products meet stringent regulatory and company standards within the competitive FMCG manufacturing environment, thereby safeguarding our client's reputation.
- Conduct routine quality control tests and inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Ensure all products meet established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all quality control activities and test results.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with testing procedures.
- Identify non-conforming products and escalation issues to the Quality Assurance Manager for corrective action.
- Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role, preferably within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Proficiency in performing laboratory tests and interpreting results.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
- National Certificate or Diploma in Quality Assurance, Food Technology, or a related field.
