About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated FMCG Quality Assurance Officer to join their team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. This role is essential for upholding the highest standards of product quality and safety within the fast-moving consumer goods sector. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control systems, conducting product inspections, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of quality assurance principles, and a commitment to excellence in the FMCG industry.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems and procedures for all FMCG products.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure adherence to all relevant local and international food safety and quality regulations.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within the FMCG sector, preferably food and beverage.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant quality management systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting related to quality metrics.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities.
