About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and analytical Agricultural Scientist to join their research and development team in Stellenbosch. - Design and conduct field and laboratory experiments to investigate crop performance and soil interactions.
- Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and interpret results to draw meaningful conclusions.
- Develop and test new agricultural technologies, crop varieties, and sustainable farming practices.
- Prepare detailed research reports, scientific publications, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with farmers, agronomists, and other researchers to implement findings and provide technical support.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements and trends in agricultural research.
- A PhD or Master's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural science field.
- Minimum of 6 years of research experience in an agricultural setting.
- Strong knowledge of experimental design, data analysis, and statistical software (e.g., R, SAS).
- Proven ability to conduct independent research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts.
- Experience with modern agricultural technologies and analytical equipment is a plus.
