Graduate Chemical Engineer - R&D

Our client is seeking a bright and motivated Graduate Chemical Engineer to support their Research and Development team in Paarl . This internship offers a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring engineer to gain practical experience in a dynamic R&D environment. You will assist with laboratory experiments, data analysis, process scale-up studies, and documentation. The role involves working closely with experienced researchers and engineers to develop new chemical products and processes.

• Support R&D projects by conducting laboratory experiments and pilot studies under supervision.
• Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data using statistical methods and software tools.
• Assist in the design and modification of experimental setups and pilot plants.
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, and presentations of experimental findings.
• Help in the scale-up assessment of new chemical processes from lab to pilot or commercial scale.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals , including thermodynamics and reaction kinetics.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and techniques is advantageous.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
